We are an established childcare provider that has been offering the very best standards of childcare for more than 25 years.
Operating from the ground floor of a large Victorian house near Catford Bridge Station, Little Acorns is registered for the care and education of 32 children aged between 9 months - 5 years.
The Nursery is fun, bright and attractive with areas for active play, eating, sleeping and quiet times. The children also have access to a large, safe and secure garden with both grass and safety surfacing in which children can play and learn. A storage area at the side of the Nursery is provided for buggies and pushchairs.
The Nursery has three individual rooms. Each room has been carefully designed to ensure best possible layout to meet specific Early Learning Goals and help your child reach his/her full potential by allowing greater independence, boosting self-confidence and nurturing intellectual development by cultivating their own natural desire to learn.
We are also inspired by the Forest School approach that stimulates children through positive outdoor experiences. We believe that there is magnificent opportunity for children to explore the outdoor environment, develop a connection with nature and improve a whole range of skills from personal, social and emotional, to physical development and communication.
We also have animals at Little Acorns. These include chickens, Guinea Pigs and a rabbit. The children have close contact with the animals and enjoy feeding them and helping with cleaning them out too.
We provide a monthly newsletter that keeps Parents informed of any developments and activities within the Nursery and Bi-annual Parents Evenings are held for Parents to meet key workers and discuss your children’s progress.
